Common questions before joining
Can I use it for free?
Yes. Right now you can use career consultation, study consultation, and members-only offline events for free.
How is this different from the free consultation on this site?
The free consultation is a one-time starting point through a form, and you do not need Discord. In Red Hub, you can keep asking the same peers and staff, and staff reply within 48 hours.
My Japanese or English isn't good yet. Is that OK?
Yes. You can use translation tools. What matters is the effort to communicate.
How is this different from language exchange apps?
Red Hub is not a language practice app. It is a community of people working toward international careers. Language exchange is the entry point, designed to lead to career information and advice from people with experience.
Why is it free?
Red Look is a non-profit and does not aim to make a profit. So that no one has to prepare for a career across borders alone, we put getting more people involved first. Our work is supported by donations, Red Supporters, and partner companies.
I'm busy. Can I take part at my own pace?
Yes. Discord is available anytime, so you can join in your spare moments.
Can I join from outside Tokyo or outside Japan?
Yes. Most activity happens online on Discord, so you can join from anywhere.
What if I want to leave?
Just leave the Discord server. No paperwork is needed.
Is anything prohibited?
Religious or political solicitation and anything involving anti-social forces are prohibited. Joining for the purpose of business solicitation is generally not accepted.
