Red Look is a non-profit (NPO). We will not push paid services or keep contacting you.
Staff who have been there
Our staff have lived and worked abroad, or found work in Japan. They talk with you honestly about your situation.
English or Japanese
Use whichever language is easier for you. It is all online, so you can join from anywhere.
- For legal questions such as visas and residence status, we will point you to qualified professionals (e.g. a licensed immigration lawyer, gyoseishoshi).

Common questions before you ask
Is it really free?
Yes, consultations are free. Red Look is a non-profit supported by donations and sponsors. If you would like ongoing support that takes significant staff time (for example, weekly progress check-ins), we may discuss that separately.
Will you try to sell me something afterwards?
No. We do not push paid services or keep contacting you.
Do I need to speak Japanese?
No. You can talk with us in English or Japanese, whatever your level.
Who will I talk with?
Red Look staff who have made cross-border moves themselves, such as living and working abroad or finding work in Japan.
Can you help with my visa?
We can share general experience, but we cannot give legal advice. For visas and residence status, we will point you to qualified professionals such as a licensed immigration lawyer (gyoseishoshi).
Can I ask from outside Japan?
Yes. Consultations take place by chat, email, or online call, so you can join from anywhere.
