About NPO Red Look
NPO Red Look is an organization that supports both Japanese individuals taking on challenges abroad and foreign nationals building their careers in Japan.

We provide information, career guidance, and personalized support for those aiming to study or work overseas, while also assisting foreign residents who wish to thrive professionally in Japan. Beyond individual support, we collaborate with local governments, communities, and companies to build a society where everyone has the opportunity to challenge themselves and grow.
Since our founding, we have prioritized transparency and accountability, striving to earn and maintain the trust of our donors and partners through sincere and responsible management.
About Sagamihara Civic Support Center

The Sagamihara Civic Support Center serves as a vital hub for NPOs and civic organizations within Sagamihara City.
It offers meeting spaces, information support, and training opportunities, helping many local groups establish and operate their activities effectively.
Particularly valuable are its seminars on NPO accounting and management, which provide accessible learning opportunities for community-based organizations.
As many nonprofits struggle with daily bookkeeping and audit preparation, offering such seminars — often free or at low cost — greatly contributes to improving the quality of civic activities across the region.
Strengthening Our Accounting and Audit Skills

As Red Look continues to grow and engage with more donors and partners, transparent financial management becomes increasingly essential. Properly handling donations and grants — and making these processes visible — is key to building long-term trust.
In this first session, “NPO Accounting — Step 1”, we learned about fundamental bookkeeping, NPO-specific accounting categories, and how to read and prepare activity reports and balance sheets.
We realized how important it is to express our daily support activities through numbers — and to communicate our impact clearly.
The seminar brought together leaders from various local NPOs, all sharing a common goal: improving their organizations. The atmosphere of mutual learning was inspiring and motivating.
Looking Ahead — Building Trust Through Financial Integrity

This accounting program consists of four sessions in total, covering practical topics such as taxation, digital tools, and operational problem-solving.
Through these sessions, Red Look aims to achieve three goals:
- Maintain accurate financial records and report transparently to donors and partners.
- Share accounting knowledge across the team to prevent reliance on individuals.
- Use credible financial data to build stronger collaborations with supporters.
While accounting may seem like a behind-the-scenes task, it is, in fact, the foundation of trust for any nonprofit organization.
Red Look will continue to value transparency and integrity as we support individuals taking on challenges across borders.
Conclusion
At Red Look, we aim not only to empower individuals who take on global challenges but also to act with integrity as an organization.
By engaging seriously with areas like accounting — which may appear modest — we strengthen the sustainability and credibility of our operations.
We will continue to share our learnings and progress toward becoming a truly trustworthy and transparent NPO.
